From the Trevor Project: "28% of LGBTQ youth reported experiencing homelessness or housing instability at some point in their lives — and those who did had two to four times the odds of reporting depression, anxiety, self-harm, considering suicide, and attempting suicide compared to those with stable housing".
I upcycled some underloved wool sheets into a spikey quilt, leaving the blanket in a space by my house, which I know many unhoused individuals frequent. I was able to stay and watch some reactions of random passersby, and a coworker was kind enough to document the last ever known photo of the quilt (bottom right). Hoping to have made someone's winter a little bit warmer.
